What a chore!
Dom has posted on his myspace page showing his support for getting Rage Against The Machine to Number One!
I actually can’t believe it! Rage Against the Machine for Xmas number 1 is the best and funniest thing I’ve heard all week! They’re currently holding fort on top of X Factor Joe right now so let’s make this happen! I’ve bought my copy. Best 29p from Amazon I’ve ever spent!
This isn’t some contrived stunt from RATM or their label. Its just real music fans making a point about how typically boring and obvious this particular number 1 can be. Of all the bands to be chosen by rock fans to challenge this, it couldn’t be more apt for one of the most ‘power to the people’ orientated bands there has been in the last 20 years. Genius!! Love it and love Rage. This song is almost 20 years old and it still sounds amazing!
Can’t wait to see the Xmas day Top of the Pops now (which we’re on by the way, ha!), and how it will be dealt with or what will be shown.
Hopefully Simon Cowell won’t rush out and buy an extra 50,000 Joe McElderry singles to keep them off!Merry Xmas!!

Dom has posted on his myspace page thanking us for getting The Resistance to number one!
Hi there…
I want give a massive thanks to all of you guys who have bought the new album this week and given us a number 1 in 13 countries! Thats amazing. We are immensely chuffed and appreciate it so much!
I also want to thank everyone who came out to the recent shows we did in Berlin, Paris, NY and particularly Teignmouth a couple of weeks ago. It was a real special night for us to play there and something we’ve talked about for so long. It certainly made us reflect a lot on where we’ve been and what we have achieved over the last 10 years, so cheers again for making it so great..We’ve just arrived back in New York now for the U2 stadium gigs which should be fun. Short sets and lots of days off!! There might be the odd ’stadium rock’ trick or two we might learn from those boys as well..
So, if some of you guys are coming to those shows, see you there, otherwise see you when The Resistance Tour really starts in Oct..Finally, my siilly debut as a front man. I actually started to feel a bit comfortable up there by the last chorus! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3oTt8Noi5Rk&feature=player_embedded
Cheers,
Dom.
